Description: Indiana’s Food for the Hungry brings together individuals with a variety of backgrounds in the effort to promote food security and food safety. The diversity of the program allows staff to work with individuals to provide nutrition and food safety information and promote awareness of the issue of hunger in the state of Indiana.

The education provided includes nutrition and food safety information associated with emergency food feeding programs. Methods of delivery include a newsletter that addresses various topics related to nutrition and food safety. Copies of the newsletter and educational insert are available for download from the website and can be distributed to clients or staff.
