Using Online Resources for Parents, Teachers, and Family Support Professionals in Times of War: A Conversation with the Experts

Are you having trouble sifting through all the resources available to you?
Do you have more questions about how to best help the parents and family support professionals in your community?
....then this interactive training session is for you!
CYFERnet is pleased to present an opportunity for you to learn more about the resources we have posted about helping your communities cope with the war in Iraq. Resource authors and experts will give brief presentations on the posted resources and answer questions you have about utilizing the resources in your communities.
Topics Include:
- Talking with Children about War and Terrorism
- Classroom Resources
- Stress and Coping
- Protecting children from Traumatic Media Exposure
- Patriotism Related Organizations and Links
- Resources for Military Families
This workshop will be a presentation and then a question and answer time
with
Dr. Judy Myers-Walls (Purdue University), Dr. Karen DeBord (North Carolina
State University), and Andrea Hutson (USDA Army Youth Development Project).
…All you need is a telephone plus a computer with web access. This training is one of a series of live interactive training sessions that use the web and telephone conference calls that are being sponsored by CYFERnet.
