CYFERnet is pleased to present an opportunity for you to learn more about the use of multiple methods to demonstrate program impacts. All you need is a telephone plus a computer with web access. This training is one of a series of live interactive training sessions that use the web and telephone conference calls that are being sponsored by CYFERnet throughout 2002.

Increasingly, Extension educators are being asked to demonstrate that they are making a difference - that their programs are having an impact. We need to go beyond asking people if they liked the refreshments to finding out if they are doing things differently as a result of participating in Extension programs. This teleconference will give participants an overview of multiple evaluation methods, and explain the benefits and drawbacks of each type, and the value of using more than one method in order to have more confidence in the results that are achieved. Utah's Youth and Families with Promise program evaluation, recognized as an exemplary evaluation model by CYFAR, will be explained to illustrate the use of multiple methods in a particular project. Copies of questionnaires and interview protocols will be available on the website along with the slides and handouts for the presentation.
