  • Software Exploration: The Magic School Bus or My Amazing Human Body--visit the sections "What Am I Made Of?", "Information Section?", "Secret File." Encourage each team to find out at least one amazing fact about each system/or part of the body and record it in the "Secret File."
  • Do hands-on activities related to each system of the body:(50 minutes each)
    Respiration, Circulation, Digestion, Bones and Muscles, Brain and Nervous System, Senses, Nutrition

  • Discuss reflection questions that are part of each hands-on activity.
  • Discuss the computer lab experience using these General Questions

  • Computer Lab experience with "My Amazing Human Body." Use the sections of the software entitled "Take Me Apart", "Build Me a Body" and "Me and My Day." Each of these sections has a quiz/game that can be used as a competition between teams

  • Seven 50 minute hands-on activities are included along with time spent with the computer programs. You may pick and choose the number of hands-on activities you would like to include with the software. Lessons have been broken into 50 minute sessions so that they can be used in a variety of formats, i.e. day camp, series of after-school programs, etc.
